Hi Everyone!

The next few months are shaping up to be pretty exciting times. So without wasting anymore time, I'll crack on and tell you what's in store!

FINALLY! FIRST FULL BAND GIG...
As I mentioned in my previous newsletter, I've been working hard with a full band and finally we're ready to play our first gig!!! I'm pretty excited about this as it's taken quite some time to sort out various aspects of the band, i.e. finding members, finding time to rehearse etc. But the date is now set, Saturday 25th April in Soho (upstairs), Paisley. This will be the very first time I have ever fronted my own band so PLEASE come along and check it out, I'm dying to know what you'll all think!!!
The support comes from, in my opinion, two of the most entertaining acts the town has to offer, 'The Love Hats' and 'Andy Mcneill'.

VARIOUS CO-WRITING ADVENTURES...
Over the past few months I've also had the privilege of working with some extraordinarily talented songwriters in London, Leeds and Derbyshire. These have included; Steve Chrisanthou & John Beck (the guys who co-wrote Corinne Bailey Rae's 'Put Your Records On'), Tim Kellett (ex member of Simply Red and James Morrisson co-writer) and Dele Ladimeji (London based songwriter signed to Peer Music, the same people who manage Newton Faulkner). They have all helped me a lot in developing my skills as a songwriter and it's been an absolute pleasure to work with them all.

NEW LOOK WEBSITE - COMING SOON...
With the asistance of John Morrison (website designer) and Alistair Leckie (photographer), my alanmckim.com website will shortly be receiving a face-lift. These two guys are great at what they do and thanks to them, alanmckim.com will soon be new and improved!

CALLING ALL MOBILE VIDEOS...
As part of the new media section on alanmckim.com, there will also be a "videos" section which will include one or two (soon to be filmed) professional videos! As well as this though, I'd quite like to possibly add some videos which have been filmed by people at my gigs. I've set up a group on YouTube so if you have any, PLEASE upload/add them and you never know, they may end up on alanmckim.com!

FLYING HIGH AT GLASGOW INTL. AIRPORT...
I'm over the moon to have been asked to perform in the departure lounge at Glasgow airport in connection with World Duty Free! The gig will take place on Thursday 2nd April and unfortunately, unless you're actually boarding a flight, you won't be able to come :(
BUT, the gig will be professionally filmed and as soon as it's ready, posted on alanmckim.com.
